After eighteen years in prison, ex British Army Officer Angus McGowan, has turned his depression and anger into a plan for revenge. His time serving in Northern Ireland during the eighties was cut short by a brutal attack with massive consequences for him and his Republican Irish girlfriend.
But he’s not the sort to just let things lie. So, on being released he wastes no time hunting down those responsible.
This story follows Angus’s journey through the destructive events of 1988, and his struggle with his conscience as, with his twin brother’s support, he sets out to put things right in 2007.
But can his quest for revenge really deliver the justice he seeks?
ABOUT IDRIS
At thirty, and after twelve years in the army, Idris concluded he was unemployable, so he started a mine clearance company. In his mind, going from making things go bang in the army to stopping them going bang in civvy street was a step in the right direction.
But that was a long time ago! Since then, several successful business ventures have bought him the time to do what he really enjoys, writing. Inspired by brilliant authors like Ian McEwan, William Boyd, Edward Docx and more recently, Gregg Hurwitz, he loves to create fast moving plots involving interesting characters.
Idris lives in England, has two grown up children and spends his free time keeping fit, walking his dogs, and coaching rugby.
